I love about 7 games that have been released in the xbox360 so far, but im not sure if they can be played on normal TV's. Do I have to have an HDTV? Because i've been hearing complains about small writing on normal TV's? What Do you think?

check this out http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/617/617951p1.html
it say that the 360 has more performance power than the ps3
the wii looks the funiest to play but it will have more childish games and the graphic are way worse the te 360,and ps3
the 360 and ps3 have about the same graphics so if you are deciding between those a big part of your descion should be the games and now to actually answer the question bo you dont need a hdtv to play xbox 360 games
i dont think its the normal tvs that have small writing i just think it really old tvs

Yes the visuals are the only thing that changes, the graphics stay the same, you see the visuals just look much sharper, and the colors are more solid. You can still play on a regular TV, but you wont see how good the games really are, without the hi def(and maybe some surround sound).

i say, you should not. personaly. sure it has kick *** graphics, like the ps3, but it does not have many games. plus most of the games suck.(except splinter cell double agent)
if your also thinking about getting a ps3, i would not reccomend that ether. because on the launch date, (11/17/06) there will not be many games out till next year. it also is basicly the same thing as the ps2. except it has way better graphics and the controllor is wireless. plus that its 500-600 $. so i would recomend the wii. it has the best technology, the coolest controllor, the lowest price($249.99),vibration feature(unlike ps3), 31 games at launch date(11/19/06) (10 games for ps3)(the game i would recomend is red steel), online feature(like ps3 & xbox 360), and the coolest specs.
you dont have to liston to me, but thats what i would recomend.

wii: 11/19/06 for $249.99
ps3:11/17/06 for $499.99/$599.99
xbox 360: $499.99

go for the wii

Hey its me again, don't listen to all of these other people they all suck GET A 360, it pwnes. sony (the playstation) come out with a bunch of sport games and pussy little adventure games. Get a 360, microsoft and xbos pwne, plus a it tops all others gaming systems because of XBOX LIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

+edit+---- also, no, you don't need an hdtv to play, i use a 25' polaroid tv and it has very good picture. GET a xbox 360 lots of even better good games yet to come( IE: gears of war, splinter cell DA, HALO ******* 3, saints row, need for speed: carbon, halo wars, F.E.A.R. which is my favorite game, i like it better than halo. also a new metal gear solid game, the last one. to just put it plain and simple: xbox kicks *** the games kick *** and it will only get better. oh yeah, don't forget about quake 4 and prey, they kick *** too!!!!!!!!!!11

it is compatible with a conventional TV. it just looks better on a HDTV. in my opinion, wait for the Wii and PS3...wait a little while, then see user ratings and such. the one with the highest rating would be best. also, try to experience each system.

It depends on your preferences of games and your budget. The xbox360 has xboxlive if you are into online gaming but also has some good singleplayer games.

I have no idea if you need HDTV, but I don't think so. Anyhow, if you can afford one, then I say go for it! That system rocks!
