Thank you for your question.
The current generation is Generation Y. It describes people born between the late 1970's through the 1990's to 1999. The generation coming after that will probably end up with Generation Z or Generation 2000. Wikipedia has the term New Silent Generation for the post 2001 crowd but this isn't widespread as yet.
Generation Y probably got their name from coming after Generation X.

Generation Z. Also called The New Silent Generation. Describes the generation whose birth years begin somewhere in the early or mid 2000s and continue to a yet unknown year in the future, most likely the year 2017.
