I'm confused- in earlier questions you posted a few weeks ago, you talked like you'd been identified as having a specific learning disability in reading. You're in special education classes, so your mother had to gave permission for the evaluation and the placement, thus she knows your difficulty. YOU ARE GETTING HELP.
Your mother may not know the specific issues you are having. Talk to her and your special education teacher about these things so they can make accommodations for you in the other areas of your daily life. You will be able to drive and all that with accommodations, as your 'functional literacy' can be built. You can learn to recognize certain things you need to drive successfully and safely. I know plenty of people with learning disabilities who function fine in daily living tasks (adaptive behavior is the fancy name).
If the problem is that you're confused as to why they didn't say 'dyslexia', please know that most states use the global term 'Learning Disability' since dyslexia is a medical term and we're not really allowed to use it at school. Anyway, the word 'dyslexia' simply means 'difficulty reading' so getting services as a student with a learning disability is appropriate.

Ask your teacher if you can be tested for dyslexia. Explain exactly what you have observed about yourself. If your program is not recognizing that you have this problem you may not be getting all the help you need. Did you know that you could get all of your books recorded from Recording for the Blind and Dyslexic? Then you would be able to listen and learn. You can also set up a computer to read you the instructions out loud. You are smart enough to recognize what your problem is. You must insist to your mother and your teacher that you should be tested. An Occupational Therapist can help you figure out new ways to learn better.

Moon...we have allot in common you and I and I truly appreciate your frustration. I have the same symptoms and I too have ADHD. I am now 50 and I struggled because my parents didn't want to accept the fact that there child had problems. It was almost an insult like it was their fault. That was in the 70's when allot of this was not completely understood. I wanted more in my life and I refused to let ANYONE hold me back. I went to my doctor and he sent me to a specialist. I pushed and pushed until everybody listened. They got me on meds which was fine for a while but then I got treatment to live with it and adapt. For the ADHD they connected me up to a computer video game type device and it taught me to concentrate. I over came it. It wasn't easy and it took time..but my dreams and goals kept me on track.
Now my mother past before I got better but my father never got beyond it and refused to even talk about it but it made me stronger in the years to follow.
What you need to do is goto a doctor and explain thoroughly what you feel ...He will listen. You need to also speak to your school councilor...even if that feels uncomfortable...do it. Get them both on the same page and then have them speak to your mom with you.
Now let me tell you the good stuff.
Let me tell you some characteristics about ADHD...We have a higher IQ than most. We are better thinkers believe it or not...We use less effort to do intellectual chores than most. We...You...are capable of great things. You need to set goals...Put a picture of what you want on a wall and think about obtaining it. So you understand, you will never get rid of the problem..you will only learn to adapt and find ways around the problem but that will become second nature in time and you will think nothing of it.
I went on to get 2 degrees in university, I also picked up several minors in a few areas.. I love to learn now and share my knowledge and experience. ( thats why I'm here). I went on to be very successfull running a corporation and I have a beautifull daughter who models and has her own business. I am very happy and so will you be. Your parents love you very much...of that I have no doubt but they are human and have flaws and perhaps guilt. You need to show them that you love them and you need them and its important. Hopefully they will come around...but it starts with you. You can't leave it alone and you certainly can't deal with it yourself...trust me.
Please believe me and try... Now start with a goal...the rest will fall in place..

Simply tell your special ed teacher. The fact that you were able to research this indicates that you are more than capable. This can be a symptom of ADHD. It also may be a result of the meds you are taking.

You need to tell either your teacher or your counselor immediately. It's great that you want to get help for yourself. Tell them exactly what you wrote here. They will test you to see how much help and what help you need. They will inform your parents. Since you are in special education already you must have an IEP. I'm wondering how you managed to get this past them in the first place. Good Luck to you.

Talk to your teacher about it and the school principal. Tell them it is serious and you need help right now. I've heard true life stories of people with adhd being intelligent and getting degrees. There is a way to get through it and attain your goals. I think if your mom is hard to talk to talk to your school.

If ur mom doesnt believe u than shes not a real mom. I would suggest asking a teacher for help cuz Brad Pitt has dyslexia and he reads his script and Patricia Polacco (author) did too but she can write books cuz she learned from a one of her teachers .

Maybe you should type how you feel even if you are bad at spelling and tell that you need help.
