United White Persons College Fund
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/851961/posts

I'm not complaining about white people having their own college fund because I see nothing wrong with it. Asians even have their own college fund. What I want to know is why some white people are always criticizing other races for having their own college fund when they have one.

Because they like to hide their racism by claiming other groups are racist. They say the United ***** College fund is racist, BET is racist, the NAACP is racist, Black History month is racist, etc. Most of them don't even know there is a white college fund. And instead of researching, they just stick to their ignorant theories.

United... White Persons... College Fund... Now that's a first for me. I actually have never heard of it until today. Heck, I'd say that most of everyone here hasn't either. Personally, I 'd rather get into college the old-fashioned way: hard work or at least get some scholarship other than the UWPCF.
Also, am I the only one who thinks this college fund will have a *very* short shelf life?

Because it's a joke to show how racist it is to have college funds that promote one race. This would be considered racist as are the others. This has about as much chance as White Entertainment Television or Ivory Magazine or the National Association for the Advancement of White People.Reverse descrimination is alive in well in America.

White people that complain about other races having college funds, etc. are just ignorant people. White people have it so good in the U.S. They don't have to worry about a lot like minorities do.

Some of whites have to deal with always being guilted about threating other races poorly in the past. White males sometimes will
be turned down because affirmitive action, and they feel discrimated against.

I have had it happen to me a few times, it dosen't feel good. Equality is the way we should all live. We should look at the social economic conditions of the individual instead of the race.

You really didn't read that whole article did you?
This is the last part of the main article, and I quote

The Black Student Association says they'll wait and see the public reaction to coday's venture, before deciding how to respond.

So it would appear that they are thinking that he is a racist and reserving judgment until they see if he is doing this as a affront to the U.N.C.F. You wait he will be labled a racist before this is all said and done.

By "college fund," do you mean "scholarship?" Anyone can set up a scholarship. All you need is the money to set aside to create one. However, in today's society, it appears that anyone can consider anything to be racist, so often times people are offended by what they feel is "unfair to them."

Ignore it. My people know that white people are generally not satisfied. They see the grass as greener whether they're viewing the slums or a brother's gold tooth. First they criticize, then they copy and sooner or later, they co-opt what they're looking at.

Review the origins of America's popular culture.

i didn't know we had a white persons college fund. i think the name makes it sound like it's a racist college fund (like something the kkk would sponsor), so non-racist whites dont want to get involved with it.

well usually scholarships are given to people of other ethnic backrounds than white, i dont know why i think its just a steryotype, and makes the school seem more diverse if they give their money to the more ethnically diverse kid.. and its also very hard to become a doctor if you are not asian or indian. i dont know why but my parents were talking about this earlyier...
