Only Limwire Plays mp3 & WMP Doesn't Play it!!.?

Question

I downloaded mp3 song using limewire. When I play it in limewire media player, it plays. But when I play the same song in windows media player it doesn't play.
I put the file in wave editor and it shows that it is empty. It has happened to me four times.
Why does this happen and whats the solution?

get newer version of windows media player and it should work if not get musicmatch at www.musicmatch.com and use that for your music player...

also double check the file name on the songs and make sure it is a mp3, or wav or other whereas if it is not the right file name and lime wire uses their on file extension that could be what is messing it up...
