NO NEED TO WORRY!!

You dont need an AP class to get into a competitive college and they wont count it against you. Many competitive colleges want to see competitive GPA and SAT scores. They wont care if you took any AP classes or not.

AP classes are good if you're up for the challenge but in order for you to get college credit for the course you have to get at least a 3 to pass. And lets say you get the 3, some colleges see that you took the class and passed the exam but you only got a 3... other kids may have gotten a 4 or 5. So there's no guarantee that colleges will be impressed with you for taking an AP class. There are other ways to impress colleges like giving back to the community, extracurricular activities, sports... etc. They like to see those too. College is getting harder and harder to get into so you have to understand that first. It all depends which college you apply to and what their requirements are. You should look that up.

No. AP classes only serves as extra practice for hs students to get used to college life. But in no way is it a requirement to get into an IVY league college. In order to get into an Ivy league/Competitive college you need a high GPA, extra curricular activities and a high score on SAT. So no worries, if you are a good student, you will get into a good college. Good luck!

It's probable the withouit AP classes many colleges such as Harvard and Princeton and MIT (the top ones) won't care about you. However, you can always buy the Princeton Review books and do some other research on the topic (world history will work perfectly) and then you can take it in another school. Trust me, it works: I knew a little bit of spanish, grabbed an AP spanish language review book (Princeton) reviewed for a month (without the class nor anything) took the test, and got a 5. Just make sure you study, DUH

I have a master's degree from an outstanding university and did not take AP classes. My high school did not offer them. AP classes might give you a head start in college if you received college credit for them, but in no way will you be penalized for not having them. Your GPA, extracurricular activities, test scores, etc. and, in the case of prestiguous colleges, an interview will determine your eligibility for acceptance.

Yeah, don't worry. As long as you have a good overall GPA and good SAT/ACT scores. Extra-Curriculurs, too.

My school offers them, but I don't take them. WAY too much work. I'd be stressed out 24/7.

Oh.. and just because your school doesn't offer AP classes, you could still probably take the AP tests and get credit for the class if you pass...

ask your guidance counselor.

I am a college graduate (BA in Psychology) and I never took any AP classes in high school. Don't worry! It won't affect your admission into a good school. Good luck!

Don't worry .. the colleges don't weigh that very much against your over-all grades and scores on the ACT / SAT . Good Luck ! :)
