Now come on, I remember the computer world when everything was based on vacuum tubes, before transistors & microchips.
I can still remember HP Basic, Fortran, Cobol, Compiler, et al.
Win 3.1 was actually a great program in it's time.
It, and the other stuff MS developed to run with it, made Bill Gates the richest man in the world.
It couldn't have been as bad as some seem to remember.

its the core of all GUI (graphical user interface) operating systems like the Windows Xp or Vista they all based on the first Windows 3.1
its was the miracle on its time release comparing with MS-Dos or Unix
