Men degrade themselves all the time, so what difference does it make?

I don't think the magazines do the degrading, the individuals looking at them may if that is their intention.

The people who pose for Playboy and Playgirl know full well what they are doing, get paid well for it, take advantage of the foot in the door it can give them as far as their career, and are lined up to do it. The magazine obviously benefits, the models benefit.

Some people buy the magazines and have a true appreciation of the beauty they see inside - in their opinion. Others may have a less positive take on it.

I worked at Playboy for awhile, and I can tell you that many of the men I met just worshiped the women, thought they were goddesses and would get very upset when another man would act inappropriately around them. And working there, you are surrounded mostly by women, it was an incredible environment for me, a young woman just starting out in the business.

This is Playboy and Playgirl, mind you. Not all pornography outfits are like this.

Does any one here know the true purchasers of this magazine? I think you all need to see the thing first and all it's advertisements. This is a real magazine which is no more for woman than Playboy is. In the sense of the real purchasers of this magazine, then degradation may be the correct term.

PS Not to keep you all in the dark. Homosexuals are the major purchasers and ones advertised to in this magazine. The editors, at first, were shocked, but a undergraduate evolutionary biologist could have easily predicted the course of this magazine. None were consulted; probably ideologically driven, or having degrees in sociology.

This is one of the funny things about supply and demand.

It is a fact that the highest rate of playgirl subscribers is gay males.

Women simply do not care as much about sex as men.

wait playgirl degrading men, hold the phone, both in playgirl and playboy spreads are done by volenteer basis they get paid but no one forces a gun to their head, Hef is way to classy of a guy to do that, i agree most porn degrads men and women (more women then men) and makes normal people have unrealistic expectations of the opposite sex, but not hef.

I don't think that playgirl degrades men any less than playboy degrades women.

Playgirls degrade women, not men, (small breasted skinny mean women that is). Men were born to lust after women with huge playful breasts and thighs, there's nothing wrong with that, in fact I don't really see anything wrong about women with huge playful breasts and thighs wanting to show them off and get paid for it - do you?

I believe that play girl and play boy are both fairly tasteful magazines, unlike Playpen or Hustler.

I don't see it as degrading, because the people that pose do so willingly and are proud of their bodies and get paid well for the pictures.

It is gross, I think more gay men would purchase playgirl instead of women.
Either way, it is yucky!

uh... Felix.... your creepy man!

I think its shameful the way they make those poor hunky studs spread out naked for all the world to see just to give a few lonely women like me a cheap thrill. I always feel guilty when I am rubbing one out to the centerfolds.
