I thought it was a load of old poop the first time I saw it - I wouldn't give it a second chance. Not scary, not well made and not real.

It scared the hell out of me because I researched it first to find out if it was really true. Well, when it first came out the director had actually planted news articles on the web and different sites telling similar myths about the Blair Witch, that way when the film came out, people would believe it, and he even had his own actors believing it by the time they hit the house in the woods. But, I didn't find any of that out until after I watched it believeing it was true. So, I thought it was scary, but anyone who hadn't found the planted stuff, or watched it after they found it was false, ya, it was pretty stupid, lol. Gotta give the guy credit though, that was a damn good policity idea...

When I watched it in the cinema I thought it was the biggest load of rubbish I had ever seen! When I borrowed it off a friend and watched it at home alone I was terrified out of my wits and too scared to move off the sofa in case there was a witch under it! Haha! That film relies on peoples imaginations I think and mine is always in overdrive when I'm by myself!

Not scary but I liked it the first time. Films aren't scary any more -the exorcist was scary. So was the shining. Modern horror films seem to be a bit too much like Buffy or Scream. The remake of Texas Chainsaw Massacre was a pleasant surprise though.

Yeah, well I didn't enjoy the ending much.
I don't know, I just imagined I was there with them, you know. Lost in the woods. Then it gets scary.
Only if you have a really good imagination.
I scare myself like this with every horror movie I watch.
I watch a lot of horror movies.

What is good about it in my opinion is that it doesn't rely on slashing people up to scare you but just works on the psychological aspects and so it works as a metaphor for everyday fears.
When you find yourself anxious you are really just making too much out of the things that are going on around you.

Biggest pile of over hyped shite ever. Why on earth would you watch it again, once was more than enough for me. I've seen scarier things in Tesco.
All that spinning camera work made me feel really sick and gave me a headache.
Only twice in my life have i ever wanted to ask for my money back at the cinema. That was one and the other was the Planet of the feckin apes remake..

When i first saw it at the cinema, most people actually had their back to the screen and were talking- it bored people so much. Definitely not scary and so contrived it was pathetic.
