say...because its unfair that we support Israel unconditionally...not saying a word...and then say bad things about other muslim nations, including attacking Israel, when Israel uses palestinians as human shields, bulldozes houses, and kills innocent people...
the muslims think its unfair...that they are treated like this by a "foreign occupier" (not even concidering the semitic divide)...and that the USA does not reprimand the foreign occupier, but reprimands them when they react aggressively because someone killed their sibling, etc.
Its the old unfairness joke...the one that causes hatred, and vengeance to spring up, and the main cause of all wars:
Its like if a big brother punched you...and then you reacted back by punching him...your dad reprimands you for punching him but not your brother...
Is this justice? Is this injustice in the middle east going to come back to haunt us...the way injustice always does...
so is our unconditional support of Israel harming us

in the future in the form of terrorist attacks or world resentment in general...which may come back to haunt us in the form of economic retaliation
say...Iran and Venezuela team up to cause oil crisis in the USA?
thoughts welcome.

answer 1 and 2...
since you answered so succinctly in 'no'....I guess you also accept the premise of my question
that our support of Israel is biased and unconditional...
This, in itself...just by pure logic, is unjust...because a biased support of Israel means to support Israel NO MATTER WHAT....and yet condemn actions by muslim nations...
This, is unjust...
Therefore, by using simple logic, your plain answer of 'no' leads me to beleive that you approove of injustice to support Israel.
Yet, this injustice...you beleive, will have no repercutions to the interests of the American people....
How is this possible?
so you think nobody will be accountable for this injustice...that injustice will be allowed to pass....and that nobody will react....have resentment toward the US...and therefore hinder the interests of the American people?
you both don't seem to be thinking very clearly by your simple blatant answer of 'no' while accepting my premise.

3rd answerer...your statement does not reveal anything new...say why this or that is wrong, otherwise your just as bad as the first two.
4th answerer--yes...they own the land...I was re-iterating the muslim perception for you...so you see how they see it. Furthermore, Israel would have been better off in Angola or in Europe or something.
We could still do this and it would save us a host of head-aches...such as putting them in Nebraska...muslims wouldn't give us any **** after that and it would probably cost (the move) about the same as the gulf war and iraq.

Last time I asked this question...many people were against America's 'unconditional support' and seemed very reasonable.
Now, all the answerers mysteriously seem pro-Israel...maybe there are more zionists paying attention to yahoo answers...
but jewish support is shrinking...and otherwise, I just leave it up to the wind...and let things play out.
I don't think the rest of the world will be very understanding of a biased, hypocritical America toward Israel--and so, as always--there will be strife where there is injustice.

But no...its not in america's interest to support Israel unconditionally.. IT NEVER WAS, IT ISN'T AND IT NEVER WILL BE.
So the future will be the witness to my words that america has itself in a whole in Iraq and in its unconditional support of Israel--which will only cause resentment and backlashes from the rest of the world.
I guess it will all end when a nuke finally falls on Israel from Iran or some crazy *** terrorist.
whatever, I don't give a **** either way. Israel is a peice of **** of a country, who cares if they get bombed---as far as the US is concerned--I just wish more fellow americans were more clear headed to avoid more terrorist attacks.
tis all, bid you all a good day.

You said:
"whatever, I don't give a **** either way. Israel is a peice of **** of a country, who cares if they get bombed---as far as the US is concerned"
This sums up your postion in a nutshell and its a shame that you weren't honest about it by mentioning it first instead of your non question.
The reason why is because if you don't really give a damn then it doesn't really matter what anyone's response is to your question. It wouldn't matter if we gave the best reasons in the world why America should support Israel and why its in its best interests to do so... since in your eyes Israel is a piece of **** that wouldn't matter to you.
For the record, America's support of Israel is a) not unconditional but b) yes, it is biased, if by "biased" you mean "more in favour of the democracy and less in favour of those who would elect a designated terrorist organization as their legitimate leaders". And, yes, it is in America's interests to do so. (but not that you care much anyways)

No. Support for Israel is in the long term strategic interests of America. Israel is not without flaws, but they are better than those around them. Because Israel is outnumbered 60:1, they don't always have the luxury of acting by American standards. Remember where 9/11 came from? Remember what happened when Neville Chamberlain gave up Czechoslovakia to Hitler?
America's support is not unconditional. When Israel was attacked by Egypt and Syria in 1973, the US held back support. This had the effect of saving Egypt's army and led to a peace treaty between Egypt and Israel. America's continuing limited support precludes a military solution by either side and thus makes a just peace by diplomatic means possible.

I really love to see people hold such strong opinions in favor of the Zionists with out having ever BEEN to the West Bank. The Israeli government is in violation of international law and is a KNOWN human rights abuser. The U.N. is on their side but plays "good" cop so the common people of the world think that there is law and order. Israel does whatever they want with no regard for human rights and that is a fact that some of you Fox News junkies will have to accept. People have always bucked tyranny and these days are no different.

Sadly, at any time when they run out of cash. As lengthy as many Jewish individuals in the USA have an excessively huge amount of cash and vigour, the "state" of Israel will continually have american help. I simply desire it could be dealt with like another country, and now not like a cash weighted down, theocracy.

The Jews are Gods chosen people and the bible says that, I will bless those who bless you and curse them who curse you. I believe Israel will do the right thing. When they retaliate , people accuse them of starting something. Its sad how biased the news media is.
