I have always had clots in my blood. I know that sounds SUPER gross but it's true. And not tiny little things, but rather large clots. Is this normal? Or am I just special in a grossed out kinda way. I mean at times if I'm going to the washroom, I can feel the "chunks" coming out.
I know that is super gross. But I've had this for years and now I'm concerned cause I don't know if this is normal. It is every period, not random.

It's gross alright, but not unusual. I too suffer from blood clots. Anything from pea sized to grapefruit sized. It may or may not be normal for you. The only way to find out is to see the old OB/Gyn. We all hate it, but it must be done. Don't feel like you're the only one. But, please get it checked out.
As with everything pertaining to the female body, the sooner you know...the more likely it can be fixed.
It may a harmless hassle (and he/she may be able to tell you how to make it better).
It may be something else.
Don't take chances with your life.

As far as I know, that's normal. That happens sometimes when your flow is heavy. If those clots are bothering you, using tampons would be the best way to stay protected and feeling good...you probably won't be able to feel the "chunks" with a tampon inserted. And no, your question isn't gross. It's what happens to all women.

Yes it is normal and you are healthy. The clots are the lining of your uterus being shed, the purpose we have periods. If in the future you want kids, you know they'll have a happy safe, strong home in your womb! No cause for concern.

My wife has had blood clots before, and after her period. during her period, she flows regularly with very few clots, but when she slows down, then the clots appear. Her OB/GYN said that this is normal, because I was concerned just like you are and took her in.

It is probably normal, but, why don't you ask your Doctor?
Instead of an answer from a yahoodiot, you would be receiving the professional opinion of a certified and licensed health care professional, based upon sound scientific facts...
We'll give you lots of 'feel good' advise, much of which is totally wrong! I mean, it is the Internet, invented by Al Gore! How much can you trust THAT politician or his cronies?!

Since Sobrien is going to be immature about your question, I'll help as best as I can. I knew someone named Leslie who had the same problem. She was one of my mom's friends, and she never really had any complications caused by the clots, so I think you'll be fine. And I'm sorry that people named sobrien answer your questions with such idiocy.

Since it has been going on for a long time I suspect it is normal for you. However, I would go to your doctor with this question and he/she can run tests to see if there are any blood related problems. Doctors are use to this sort of thing so don't worry about having to talk to them about it. Not easy I know but once you have your answers you will have peace of mind :-)

Chunks are not normal! You need to see a gyn....soon. I am not trying to scare you....well maybe a little. There are many different reasons this could be happening. Call on Monday and make an appointment, or have you parent make it.
This is more than likely resolve itself as you get older, but please call the doctor and have a complete gyn exam.

Clots are normal, yes. But, if they are getting worse or you have super bad cramps, get it checked out.
Have you had a pelvic exam yet? You may want to if not, even if you are not sexually active, because you may have something going on with your uterin lining that can be corrected.
