They would probably do what they did before the English. Pay their own way and carry much of England too !
St George may have slain the Dragon but it surely wasn't a Scottish one !
Who are the English going to blame for their woes next ? Look IN the mirror, not through it . I'm glad that you're proud to be English, but don't try to blame your problems on others. No one is interested !

I don't think this question is very fair, do you have any facts to back up your question???? I am English and my partner is Scottish (I can confirm that the Scottish are tight with money and bad tempered). But Scotland is a beautiful country with a great history and on the occasions that I have visited I have met many respectable and kind-hearted people.
The one thing that grates me about the Scottish is the way they hate the English, I mean GET OVER IT yes we are better at you at football, Rugby Etc... But we share the same fair isle and I for one quite like you so stop being so resentful.

nothing seeing as you have never payed for anything in Scotland and guess what after using all our gas and oil your not getting our water and by the way St George may have slain an English dragon( an endangered species no doubt) but when it came to the haggis he stood no chance and I like most English people or did

Not a lot. We'd probably run out of drunken tramps on our streets if we closed the borders.
And there is no Scottish Oil and Gas left by the way,. That's why we have to pipe it in from Russia and Norway now.

Scotland would stop giving you our Scottish Gas, oil etc. You think you are paying for us, we are paying for you.

They would go bust, or knowing how canny the Scots are they will survive quite easily without us. We are not the be all and end all of everything. They also would not have to put up with us.

It would still be here doing quite nicely thank you. Although the gas and oil are running out we still have plenty of water which we can start charging high prices for. :)
