I am almost out of high school and plan on attending college. I look around and i see fat middle class fathers with a fat wife and a steady job that pays the bills. I would hate to be there. I want to travel the world , see differnt places and have a interesting unpridictable life and not be tied down. Although i am going to college because education will open many doors, im undecideed what to do after. Military? Peace corps? something like that with adventure. What should i start with?Any suggestions would be appreciated?

I would start with the military. They will pay for your education and it will give you four years to help decide what you want to do. Im in college now, and the people who dont know what they want to do tend to coast, partying and wasting time not focused on their studies.

The Peace Corps might be a great choice. Don't worry too much about life choices right now. Go ahead to college and as you take courses you will find interesting avenues of expression opening. Also, as you grow and mature you may find your outlook changing. People who spend all their lives in pleasing themselves are bereft when old age comes.

People with a spirit of adventure often like careers in journalism.

I wouldn't know but i felt like that too once and was attracted to science, things that had to do with the environment. I hoped i could one day work for national geographic to travel the world and meet strange cultures, people, animals. Should give enough variety and adventure...

There are plenty of opportunities, you might want to talk about it with a mentor at a college. Whatever your choice is going to be, it's got to be YOU!!!

You're thinking too far ahead and stressing yourself. Since you know what you'd like to do, aim for that and figure out a way to make money while doing it. Life was meant to be lived, not endured.

What do you love? What is your passion? Figure out a way to make money doing whatever it is that you love then you can't go wrong.
