I use mnemonic devices to aid in remembering things. Here I associate the thing to be remembered to a story, poem, or something very familar to me. It works in helping me remember things, and is especially useful in studying for tests and exams. It's worked for a lot of other people as well.

You might try doing a Yahoo or Google Search for Mnemonics to learn some clever techniques to enhance your memory. Best of luck.

Cheers!

Well, it depends on the type of learner you are... one thing I know is that if you have to memorize something, you should do it at night. I know this sounds weird, but if you need to study for a vocab quiz, then reading over the list of words repeatedly at bedtime really helps you to remember them the next day. I learned this from one of my middle school teachers, and it works for me!
You should also try writing things down, or reading them out loud to yourself. If you are artistic, then even drawing pictures may sometimes help. Try different things and stick to whatever works best for you.

Repetition is key, your mind has a short term memory and it has a long term memory. Short term memory is erased all of the time. An example of short term memory would be what you ate for dinner last week. Now if you can say what you need to remember to your self over and over, your brain should convert it to long term memory. Another good thing to do is try to use what your trying to remember in your everyday life. If its necessary to your survival then it will be remembered.

ASSOCIATION- associate the material with what you're familiar with. Works for me and I get good grades in college.
