Make her a book!!!

Make it in the form of a story... you can draw things and cut out photos... make it about stuff you bond over.... Or about her life... or anything you think she will find funny but touching....

You can buy something to go with it if you like....

Another nice thing would be to organsise a surprise party or event.... Like tickets for something.....

Good luck!

Hmm that's a good one. It totally depends on what kinda quirky original stuff she's into. I like the book idea. You can make a story, taking pictures of yourselves acting out the story in a kind of mime fashion and dressing up with exaggerated facial expressions.

When I buy presents I always try and get something that the person would find useful - even if that means many cheap presents.

What about a stylish picture frame, maybe with a photo of the 'terrible three' within it.

Or an art deco mirror. A mirror for her handbag. (Don't know what you girls call the one for using to put on make up).

Something she can always use that will remind her of you.

Good Luck!

I would get all of her closest friends together and indulge in some fine wine. Nothing says happy 21st birthday better then being with the people that make you laugh and drinking some wine. Don't do beer, you want to keep things classy and beer can be done at any other time. Trust me she will never forget laughter and fine wine.

this isn't something expensive but it would go along with what most people do for their 21st birthday.... Get her a handpainted Lolita margarita glass. You can buy them at Macy's for about 20 bucks. There are all different types and come in their own box that shows all the different ones to choose from. They are really neat and a great gift. I just got my sister one for her birthday!

depends of your budget really.. if you have enough money you could give her the opportunity to fly a plane for the first time but otherwise you could do a photoalbum with pictures of all your friends, or takes video messages from all of her friends and make a DVD.. it's harder to find something she will keep because i tend to think that material presents are often not as valuable as good memories with friends..you could also do a day spa thing with all your friends..
hope this helps, and that your friend has a lovely birthday..

How about a pendant with her name phoneticised into chinese characters, they have profound meaning and it will definately be quirky, in a cultured way.

I know she won't be able to keep it, but she would remember it forever. A week-end away to Dublin. Barcelona or somewhere similar.

Why don't you design a pendant or something so it is more original?
