You cannot vote until you get your record expunged and you have to get an attorney to do that. If the judge suppresses it your record it will be hidden and you will be able to vote and buy fire arms. Depends on the state. Some have a set period of time, others you have to petition the state to get your right to vote back

unfortunately, with a felony conviction and after youve paid your debt to society, you still can never vote.
so instead of forcing these people to contribute in some way to society when theyre in prison (i.e. building pre-fab houses for homeless people, sewing blankets for the elderly, building our new trillion dollar abortionated mess of a wall between us and mexico, or working at a food processing plant for the hungry)OUR flawed judicial system lets them out with a couple bucks and sends them on their way never letting them vote again. our system doesnt believe in reform. its a business. its all about money.
