I am in Texas. Right now it is 4:42 PM Central Standard time.
In Kuwait City is is now 1:42 AM so Kuwait is 9 hours ahead of Texas.

9 hours ahead.
Remember Kuwait does not follow DST, so in the summer it would be an 8 hour difference (I'm assuming El Paso has DST),

Check your date and time on your laptop and see if it's listed. I'll give you the results from mine. It would be 1: 41 A.M. since it's 5:41 P.M. It would be night-time there.
