Ok, here is what you do... Do your own research to find out if Santa is real. The truth is is that the Santa we all know from Christmas stories is only based on a real guy that lived a long time ago. You can read the true story here: http://www.stnicholascenter.org/Brix?pageID=38
Once you know the true story you will know more about what is real and true than your mum.

In one way she is right but in another she is wrong.
The original santa was killed in a head-on crash with a 737 in 1985, so tha government of Lapland replaced him with an emergency stand by and he has done the job ever since.

Don't listen to all these people man, Santa is real believe me.
I've even sat on his knee once and had my picture taken with him!

It was great, only his breath smelt of beer...

Are you serious? Think about this: how could any mortal man know what you want for Christmas every year, and stop by your house every year, and by the houses of millions of other people down through all the years? All in one night?

Such a man would have to be God, and we know that there is only one Man who was God--God became Man in Jesus of Nazareth, so that He could redeem His creation from the effects of Adam's sin. We, Adam's descendants, have continued to sin, just like Adam, and have destroyed our relationship with God. He has rightly condemned us all to Hell.

But God loved us so much that, instead of leaving us to burn forever, He sent His Only begotten Son to die for our sins, to take the punishment that we so richly deserve. That way God could pardon our sins if we repent, and give us eternal life. Otherwise, even our smallest sins would take us to Hell.

Think you're too good to need Jesus? Take this test: http://www.livingwaters.com/good

Santa is as real as you want him to be. Christmas is about love. And as long as there is love in your heart, Santa lives!

it isn't true. Who do you think eats the mince pie you leave out for him? Have you never seen the reindeer footprints on your roof?
I reckon your mum is only saying that because she was bad last year and he never got her a present.
