I'm an active political party member in college yet i want to withdraw form my party because it's causing me too much trouble with the administration and i'm not really sure the party's cause is worth fighting all those people... What's the best way to do that without embarrassing myself or my party. Thanx

noone would believe that i've gone independant, my faculty's elections are over for this year and my party won (with too much effort from me). But i honestly do not believe my party is making the right decisions anymore ...

You could re-register as an independent if it matters that much to you. I don't know if you can re-register as un-affiliated with any party, you'd have to check with your local board of elections.

All this has an impact only on voting in primaries; in the general election you can vote anyway you want.

You can re-register as a member of another party or as an independant. You are not embarrassing yourself - or your party - your party needs to get the message! I'm tempted to do the same thing.

Declare yourself an independent. You can vote for who ever you feel is the best candidate. Create your own "party" from the members from the various political groups.

Just change you political affiliation. Before the next election you can register with any party you choose.

If you want to withdraw from a party because of a difference in beliefs, that's one thing, but if you want to withdraw because of what other people say or do, you've already embarrassed yourself.
