Registered Nurse Here; Could be a number of things, go over this check list. #1 are you running any fever? #2 Is it in the middle of your monthly cycle, if so, you could be ovulating, in perfect harmony, one ovary ovulates one month and another the next month. #3 are you constipated? It's not your appendix for they are on the right side. #4 Possibly passing a kidney stone, this can cause severe pain. #5 It is impossible to tell here on Yahoo, it is pure speculation. I strongly suggest the following; If pain doesn't ease up and or subside, if you Begin running a temperature, if you become nauseated. If you have general feeling of fatigue, little to no energy, not hungry. Any of the above I would go to the nearest emergency room. Could be an ovarian cyst. Hun like I said the list is endless, please observe yourself closely, and at the first sign of increasing symptoms, please go to the Emergency Room. Also if you get relieve, let me also strongly suggest you follow up with your Physician, he or she is the best guide and resource one has for there health. Thank You for the opportunity to address your question.

That's one great nurse, do what she said! While I agree with the midwife about drinking a goodly amount of water (warm is best), and had similar pains when I had ovarian cysts, all of which cleared up on their own (oh yeah, I had a couple of kids, that seemed to help, not the solution for everyone believe me), and I DO use herbs for various things... you probably shouldn't play around with herbs until you've taken quite some time (while pain free) to educate yourself, and are old enough to be completely responsible about it. I am a therapist in a clinic and the doctor who manages it says "herbs are drugs." He has healthy respect for what they can do, which is sometimes harm, not just help.

Hope you're feeling better soon.

I am a midwife. You may be ovulating or have a cyst on your ovary. The doctor would do an ultrasound, which is painless. Drink lots of water and go to the healthfood store, there are helpful herbs.

could be a physical problem or it could be stress. when I was younger, I used to have those, and it was stress related. there are a lot of autonomic nerve receptors located in that area. i"d see a doctor to be sure.
