I am going to a party with a hot tub. Should I wear makeup? I want to have the possibility of going underwater, but will the waterproof mascara come off? Any suggestions?

Hi, I would have to say that I wouldn't really trust the waterproof mascara. But what I would do is not wear any mascara and just wear some lip gloss. or something. But if you really insist on wearing the mascara I would test it. By having a bath and put on the water proof mascara before and then dunk your head under the water in the bath tub and look in the mirror when you are done and see if it came off if not then wear it to the hot tub party!

The people here are telling the truth. A hot tub is hot and steamy so even waterproof may smear or run if you wipe the (sweat for men) glow off your face. If you are over 18, then I would suggest a red bikini as that always makes the statement that you know you are hot and everyone else will too. If under 18, you must follow the parents rules.

Wear light makeup if you feel you need to wear any at all. It depends on what brand of mascara you are using. I use the waterproof version of Maybelline's Lash Discovery, and it works well.

Most likely it won't come off unless you are like the average human being and rubs their eyes after coming from underwater... lol, but no it's not a good idea. Instead of looking all good for the party I am sad to say from experience you will end up looking like a racoon.

No makeup, unless you won't rub your eyes. Then, you could wear waterproof mascara or eyeliner. But, I'd stay to stick with natural.

Whatcha going underwater for? I would be more worried about the lipstick than the mascara sweetheart... You can always get water proof lipstick if you are going "underwater"

If you can avoid it, don't where foundation or powder. Don't bother with shadow. Put on some water-proof eyeliner (Unstoppable is really good stuff!) and some water-proof mascara. It shouldn't come off if it's truly water-proof. But good water-proof mascara won't even smudge unless you rub your eyes.

maybe just a bit of lip gloss? i'd skip eye makeup and mascara entirely. bere's hoping the steam will give your skin a lovely glow, making foundation and concealer superfluous. :)

I'd say yes, but you know its your call.... you have to ask yourself what kind of people are going to be at the pool party. Then decide. Does make-up help your self esteem... make you feel beautiful... If it's going to make you act different, like be more confident.

dont wear make up ...would u wear makeup swimming....no and plus its just gonna go all runny when it steams up so go natural wear lipgloss but thats it
