While the Steelers are playing below their potential, and a lot of that can be blamed on the coach, you absolutely can't fire Cowher. Think of what he's done long term, playoff appearances, division titiles, Super Bowls. The man clearly knows how to run a football team (even if that hasn't been clear this year) and is entitiled to continue coaching because of what he has done and can contiue to bring to the franchise. He's better than anyone that would replace him anyways. Why would anyone, especially someone as classy and loyal as Rooney, fire someone so accomplished just because of one unfortunate year? If you want to blame someone, blame the offense and special teams for turning the ball over so much. That's the real reason we're 2-5 and not 4-3 or 5-2.
Besides, he's going to retire in a year or two anyway.

uh no, his team won the superbowl last year and although there have been some losses resulting from bad decisions, like playing ben last week when he should have played batch, cowher is still a good coach. Everyone needs to stop putting him(and ben for that matter) under the microscope, there are issues that need to be worked out, but once that is done they will be a better team.

Absolutely not! Remember, the Steelers were 6-10 a few years ago and everyone was saying Cowher should go. So how did he respond? By winning the Super Bowl. ANY team will have a very hard year after winning the big game...regardless of who their coach is. They have a huge target on their backs now. Plus, they're just plain not playing good-old-fashion Pittsburgh football this year!

No, he is cool, they should get rid of Big Ben. He is such a trouble maker alwayz ending up in the hospital or making dumb mistakes. Cowher is a great coach.

don't ask stupid questions.
He just won the super bowl last year. however, Rothliesberger should not have started in week two and, probably, three or, four.
Batch won in week one and, you shouldn't start your quarterback of the future until, He is 100%.
