someone gave me a chair, I didn't notice the smell initially, I cleaned it, then conditioned it and after the smell of the conditioner wore off it smells like someone who never bathes slept in it for years. Okay I exaggerate but its really unpleasant I am ready to toss it out. Its a stressless brand chair so good quality. It doesn't smell of pet urine but wonder if that would work. I am ready to use febreze even though its not recommended. Either that or clean it with vinegar. any suggestions?

Use a good quality leather cleaner and protector, not conditioner.
The smell is probably coming from the insides of the suite as leather does not generally harbour smells, so clean these and you may solve the problem. Use febreeze only on the areas that are not leather and not on the leather itself

Since it is leather, you might try a Orange oil on it. There are a lot of cleaners with orange oil.

This reminds me of a Seinfeld episode where someone who smelled of BO parked his Mercedes and he never could get the smell out. He finally dumped the car with the keys in it and a homeless guy opened the door and then ran away because the car smelled so bad. Sorry, couldn't resist that.

Rub it with citrus,,,ie. a lemon worth a try and won't hurt the leather
