It's amazing. My partner has been in Japan for 4 months and thats how we communicate. I used to use msn and its not good, I've used computer-computer, computer-landline and computer-mobile and never had any problems. It's also very easy to use (my dad has used it without any help at all and loved it) and so, so cheap. About 3-5p a minute to landline and about 15p a minute to a mobile. If you're going to use it a lot, I advise getting a headset to reduce feedback at either end, but I would thoroughly recommend it, I've found it clearer than phone-phone internationally and it doesn't seem to have as much delay. Hope that helps :)

If you mean SKYPE OUT, then yes, Iive in Switzerland and I phone my old mum, who at 80 does not have a computer and it is very good, and a lot cheaper than normal calls , if you have some one in USA or Canada it only costs about 1.1 pence a minute, OK some times it goes a bit odd but for the price you can not go wrong

I use Skype-In & it's brilliant!
I purchased a SkypeIn number local to the person I normally speak to in the USA. I have calls to that number diverted to my house landline number.in the UK.
When Skype is not running on my computer, the American can ring the SkypeIn number (local to them) for free from their landline cordless phone. The call is then diverted/forwarded to my cordless landline phone in the UK. I pay for the call from the USA based SkypeIn number to my UK landline phone...costs just over 1p /min
Both of us are speaking on normal landline cordless phones...reception is same as landline calls.
Cost of buying the SkypeIn number in the USA is £20 per annum
