You don't! You can put cedar sachets in them, though. They absorb moisture, reduce odors, helps retain shape, and help shoes last longer. Also, I sometimes wear socks over my pointe shoes when they're new, at least at the barre, to keep them pretty longer.

Don't do this very often, but you do this a lot to prepare for performance. Take out the ribbons and wash the shoes with soap and water then sew the ribbons back in.

is pointe a brand name? or is the the shape at the top of the shoe?
do they need washing? if so, why? don't put them in the dishwasher because the detergent is too harsh if they are leather shoes.
don't put them in your washing machine because if they have high heels, the heel might get caught in a pair of stockings and ruin them.
i wouldn't wash them, i would wait for a rainy day and jump puddles!.. then you can have clean shoes and have fun all at the same time :D

You can use aceton or ether, but never soak them. You also can use a white eraser ton erase some dirt after dancing on a stage.
