Someone on a social networking site told me that I was ugly. Why do some people feel it necessary to degrade others for no apparent reason?

Because they are not sure about themselves they have problems and so they take it out on other people dont take it personally im sure youre not ugly i think rats are ugly ive never met an ugly person in my life so instead of being angry or sad just move on and let that feeling go it doesnt matter how u look its how u act that counts.

I agree with candykiss. Somehow people who want to hurt others like that gets some kinda boost to their own pitiful self esteem...HOW they do is a mystery to me but the ones who do it using a medium like the net in order to keep a safe distance are also cowards. You probably wouldn't punch someone who walked up to you in person and said you are ugly but you would probably laugh in THEIR face and they couldn't handle that..

Cheap rhetoric.
Some people feel they can intimidate others in this forum.
That makes for a sad being.
Don't take it so literally, they possibly have eyesight problems.
Issuing a statement like that is meant to hurt, not help.

beauty is in the eye of the beholder ignore these people and meet some real people and if they say anything then kick them in the balls theres no need for others to put u down they obviously need to wipe the **** out of their eyes and take a longhard look at themselves

The person who did that is far uglier on the inside than anyone could be on the outside. I am sorry that they tried to hurt you.
