I don't have regrets. What's done is done. You can't change it. Just learn from it.

It's something i do on a regular basis.
I lose track of who i am when i'm in the moment. I'll go with the flow far too often without truly thinking about the consequences. I always think that i'll be able to make everything better when it's all said and done. Then i crash back down to earth and am left with journal entries and cigarette butts. I sacrifice who i am for the moment. Big mistake that leads to big regrets. I'm trying to let go though and just... become stronger.

Life has different stages. We learn as we go. Mistakes are what teaches us. When we get older and arrive at the last stage of life...Integrity versus despairity...we examine our life and determine if we are content with the way we have lived. If we are then we arrive at integrity. If we have not arrived at satisfaction of how we lived then we enter despairity. To make peace with oneself and how we have lived is the key to purposefulness. I am thankful for the mistakes, the hardships and the unexpected turn of events I have live through. Everything I have experienced in life has built character. I like the person that I have become. I am still learning and I expect I will have many more failures in my life but I live my life in such that I have no regrets. I acknowledge that I have a purpose designed for my life. God has laid the plans, I seek to follow. I look forward to the day that I meet God and pray that he will say job well done.

for letting the one i truly love, escape me for some bollox idea of family morals and the dumb assed idea that i can't look after and provide for my children if i wasn't there in hell with them.
what could have been should have been. escape the hell or be damned for eternity to it.
If i could do it over heck i would be gone in a heart beat. whether it lasted a day a month a year it would be better than this constant feeling of regret and disappointment within.

I'm only 17, but my biggest regret so far was not making a move when I had my chance to get with someone.

Not doing well at school because I could not spell or read well.
After the war your work was not read if you where dyslexic and you were constantly asked to REWRITE. ( Not very good for childhood moral) even though classes were 40 or more!
I could not change that as my parents thought I was bad too!

This is a good question that I have actually asked thousands of older people and the majority of both women and men say -charged for "it". There is so much given for life in love and then love turns away at the slightest hardship. If you had charged for the sex at least you would have something to show for it.

Not working harder at saving my marriage. But I was sooo young. I would change it, but I learnt alot of lessons because of it...maybe it was meant to happen. I wouldnt be the person I am now or where I am now if it hadnt happened.
So I guess we shouldnt regret anything? It happens for a reason..?

My biggest regret in life was going out with my ex-bf. He seemed so nice but when I dated him he controlled me so much. He hit me once and apologised so I gave him the benefit of the doubt. The second time he did it I WAS OUT OF THERE!!! Difficult to do, but I'm no-ones punching bag!!!
Got my revenge on him (as hitting me wasn't the only thing he did to me!!!) by dampening his carpet and sprinkling cress seeds over it. Apparently (according to his ex best friend) he had a green cress carpet for ages. I probably shouldn't have done it, but it made me feel a bit better!!!!!!

Being persuaded to go into the wrong profession. My parents were very controlling and I allowed it to happen. Always doing the thing others would perceive as right notwhat I really wanted to do myself. I know pathetic or what?
