Hi. I've been Bellydancing for over 5 years now.
I highly recommend the 3 disc series by Neena and Veena (the Bellydance twins) titled "Discover Bellydance". Or any beginners instructional DVD by them is also excellent.
They are available at Target and Best Buy-or nearly any other place that sells DVD's.
I noticed how many persons recommend Shakira's videos. They are right! Shakira's moves are very authentic and "clean". Clean means that she does the movements in the correct manner that you are supposed to do. But it is very difficult to try to learn actual bellydance from watching her videos if you are just beginning.
Neena and Veena are exceptional Bellydancers and can explain how to move your body and perform the different steps to this type of dance very well. I recommend them to anyone interested in learning Bellydance.
