I used to have a bt phone but gave it up as I used my mobile more, changing phone companies is no problem, I would prefer an unlimited broadband service, do I need to reconnect to bt?

I have Bt vision & it is OK. But it has not moved on like Sky or Virgin. BT Visions on demand is quite extensive & the films are OK. but the TV side is sadly lacking. The box itself is basically a freeview box. But again everyone else has moved on & the BT vision box can not pick up any freeview HD content. I do not watch a great deal of TV so will keep BT vision as I use it just for pay for view & do not have to subscribe to it but I have to have BT broadband which is OK. But if I was choosing now I would get Sky or Virgin & give BT a wide birth until they catch up.

I have Verizon and use an "aircard" for broadband...not quite as fast as digital cable but still pretty fast. Look at about $60/month unlimited (2 year commitment) plus the card.

Well there is Internet providers that don't use any cable such as phone or TV cable. they provide Internet through a dish. i don't know where u live and if they exist on your state but u can have Internet without any cable by putting a dish on your roof.
