I have have already looked into it some, but I still have a few questions:
1) How long does the battery REALLY last? I know that what the manufacturer says is not always realistic.
2) Is white or black better for scratches, etc.? Or is it just a personal preference?
3) Does it come with a way to charge it? It seems really unclear.
4)Can it endure a few falls?
5)Which speakers are best?
6) I know that many companies come out with new technology after Christmas. Are there any rumers of Apple coming out with a new iPod in early 2007?
Any info will be helpful. Thanks!

1) I would say the battery lasts a good 10 to 14 hours, playing music, with video i dunno how long exactly...
2)Personal peference i would say, you can buy those skins to protect it, and it also come with a pouch itself....
3)when you link your ipod to your comp, thru a usb connection, it charges itslef that way, and you can buy other stuff that can charge your ipod like those sound docks...
4)yeah it's tough enough, i dropped mine a couple of times....
5)the headphones they come with are junk, i invest in some quality headphones or speakers, i would suggest anything from Bose, they make quality stuff...
6) i dont follow that stuff really, they might be, and i cant imagine what more youu want out of it, but you will prolly be paying alot for it anyways.......

I have a 30G video iPod, and I am really happy with it. I have the white one, but bought a case for it right away. It does scratch pretty easily. It came with a cable that allows you to charge it using your computer. You can buy a car charger or a wall plug-in charger. I have a round JBL thing that works as speakers or as a charger, too. I got them at Target for $119, and they are loud enough to hear all around the house. I have dropped mine and knocked it about quite a bit without any trouble. My iPod stays charged pretty much all day, but have found the louder I play it, the quicker the battery goes down. And, I don't know anything about what is coming Christmas, but I am completely happy with what I currently have.

if you want quality and durability dude the ipod wont work for you, the creative zen vision m will, but its rumored and almost true that in ces of 2007 they will come out with an xf-i dap(mp3 player) which will end up being the best sounding mp3 player ever. plus the zens are still better. 4 hours of video for 30gb, 15 hrs of music
262k color screen vs ipods 62k
fm radio
mic
calendar
NO ITunes needed
supports 7 video formats
. and a **** load more.
