babies don't know the diffrence between night and day try playing with her look up some baby exercises do them with her for about 10min. then give her a nice warm bath there's a bathing foam that has a sleep aid in it after the bath give her a baby message but only do it if the baby is clam get some baby lotion and lay her on her back and rub her feet, hands shoulders and arms (not to hard!) talk to her make sure the room is quite after you dress her trun every thing off leave on a night light put her on your chest and rub her back if she crys wisper in her ear shhhhh the baby will stop to listen to you every time if she is really young hearing your heart beat will sooth her...THIS MIGHT NOT WORK THE 1ST TIME BUT KEEP AT IT! I learned this in my parenting class and it actually worked i had my baby sleeping thouh the night at 3mon.

How old is your baby? I work with babies at a day care and I know we let the babies sleep for long periods of time during the day. If they are sleeping alot during the day they will not sleep at night. Is your child sleeping for many hours in the day time?

The only thing we can't teach our children is how to put themselves to sleep. They have to figure out how to soothe themselves without mom or dad. Some kids just lay down and go to sleep, others must cry it out and then they can sleep. All of mine were different, but I had one crier in the bunch but after a month, he was waving goodnight to me and talking himself to sleep. It's heartbreaking to hear now, but in the long run, you will both be happier!

Good Luck!

It could be that she might be napping to much during the day and you are forcing her to then try to sleep at night. Maybe you should trying getting her really tired close to bed time so she could sleep instead of crying at night. Best of luck. It gets easier :)

Probably because your baby is hungry but it normally takes babies awhile to adjust to the time of day before they actually go to sleep at night
