Lebron play tough D? That's a joke. He is absolutely amazing on offense, but tough D? Not a chance. I really think people don't know what tough D is anymore. You want to see tough D watch the Spurs at every position.
As far as the best player
All time is MJ because not only was he an offensive powerhouse but he was the best defensive player at his position ever. He had the offensive prowess of a lebron but is MUCH better defensively and that's why it is very easy to choose him over Lebron.
Lebron is not even the best player in the league right now. Kobe is still better. Lebron isn't as diverse on offense and Kobe is much better at defense.

everyones talking about how Lebron is gonna end up being the best player ever, better than jordan. people who think that are absolutely ludacris. MJ has been retired soo long that people forget how good he is. There isnt another player you'd want to have the ball in his hands to try and win the game. and theres not another player you'd want to stop a player from winning a game. That's how good michael jordan was. He did such amazing things and its a shame that people are even putting his name in the same sentence as these modern superstars.

There is no "best player." Teams have certain individuals to accustom their style of play. For instance, Jason Kidd is could be considered the best because he plays the point guard position amazing. Kobe Bryant could be considered best because the rest of his team blows and he carries them all the time. Vince Carter could be considered the best because he just schools you, everytime, and its fun to watch him play.

Lebron is probably the best because he can do it all. Shoot the J, Drive the lane, play tough D, Rebounding, everything.
