Is IKEA gay? If so, why is it viewed that way?

I don't know why he would refer IKEA as gay. The only thing that strikes me as to why he feels that way is because the style of furniture and appliances are much different to his likings or perhaps his expectations.
I happen to have bought merchandise from that store, and I can describe to you fully what they have. They carry MODERN STYLE furniture. It is not assembled, and that you have to do it yourself. As far as how they are priced, it really is quite reasonable, and the quality of the merchandise is quite good. You do get good value for your money.
Whoever had made that statement is a very NARROW-MINDED individual, who, if is not to their liking, will label things just to distort the truth.

Most of IKEA's stuff is very stylish. If you are a man and into "style." Many will see you as gay. The straight word for it is "metrosexual." Personally, I think "metrosexual" means...I am still in the closet at IKEA!!!

In reality, my wife loves IKEA. I love her enough to not only give her $$ to get stuff from IKEA, but I will also go shopping there with her!!

They have some nice stuff there...hmmm...does that mean I am "gay"??

LOL

IKEA isn't necessarily gay. But enjoying going to IKEA is gay.

A man's man wouldn't enjoy going through a big housewares store and picking out furniture. A man's man only does that when he has to, or gets his wife to do it.

I guess it's "gay" in a gay man type of way. The Ikea near me is filled with gay couples picking out furniture. But it's not "gay" as in "not cool". I love that store.

The combination of affordability along with the selections of layouts from tiny 300 sq ft living spaces to huge areas. I also like the minimalist styles. I think you might enjoy it if you went. If not, search something close by that you'd enjoy while your wife wandered Ikea. BTW, the cafeteria food is GREAT........and very inexpensive

It was probably someone just being an idiot. A lot of guys think that to be manly you have to be a pig. Any man who enjoys nice or stylish things (like IKEA sells) is considered feminine.
