You know the song "Half the Man I Used to Be"? Well, I always thought it was a Nirvana song, but I was just on an online radio, and that song started playing, and they say it's "Creep" by a group called Stone Temple Pilots.

They aren't the only ones, check this out

That site says it's by Nirvana

and this one says it's from the Stone Temple Pilots.

So what's going on? Is it Half the Man I used to be or Creep?

Creep is the seventh track of the album Core, the debut album by the band Stone Temple Pilots. Performed at a lumberingly slow tempo, the song features the memorable chorus, "I'm half the man I used to be." It was the third and final single off of the album. This song was particually noted for it's striking resemblance to the grunge scene of the day, and the band was scathed for ripping off of the Seattle sound and jumping on the bandwagon by critics.

Mislabels
Due to the prementioned similarities to the Seattle sound, this song has been notorious for it's mislabeling on many P2P programs, and on the internet as well. The main issue derives from the main chorus of "I'm half the man I used to be", and many mislabel this as the title of the song. It has been attributed to the popular grunge band Nirvana [1], and Pearl Jam (who actually once covered the song in conert). Some of the more popular mislabes are as follows;

Stone Temple Pilots- half the man I used to be
Stone Temple Pilots- half the man
Stone Temple Pilots- Bobby's Got a Gun
Nirvana- half the man I used to be
Nirvana- Creep
Nirvana- Half and Half
Pearl Jam- Creep

The name of the song is definitely Creep, and it's by STP. I am a huge STP fan, and I've seen them live, and I have the album Core, by STP, which the song Creep is on. Scott Weiland, former STP lead singer, co-wrote the song!

Creep by Stone Temple Pilots
Music by R. DeLeo/Words by Weiland, R. DeLeo

Forward yesterday
Makes me wanna stay
What they said was real
Makes me wanna steal
Livin' under house
Guess I'm livin', I'm a mouse
All's I gots is time
Got no meaning, just a rhyme

Take time with a wounded hand
'Cause it likes to heal
Take time with a wounded hand
Guess I like to steal

I'm half the man I used to be
This feeling as the dawn
It turns to gray
I'm half the man I used to be
This feeling as the dawn
It turns to gray

Feelin' uninspired
Think I'll start a fire
Everybody run
Bobby's got a gun
Think you're kinda neat
Then she tells me I'm a creep
Friends don't mean a thing
Guess I'll leave it up to me

STP did that song on an MTV Unplugged and it was called Creep by the STP guy, I don't think Nirvana ever did it at all, but nirvana did a different song with the word "creep" in the chorus of the lyrics-- totally different song though. the only words I can rememder from it are: "If I can't see you every night...."

Creep is a Silverchair song. Half the Man I Used to Be is STP. Even though I believe it's called something else.
