In last last couple of days, we have had problems trying to use the SBC Yahoo Browser. We used it instead of Windows Internet Explorer. Now, all of sudden it doesn't work correctly. We can't stay connected to Yahoo or other websites. Also, all of our cookies disappeared. A message comes up that says:

icpldrvx
Socket error #10053
Software caused connection abort

Is there a conection between the Browser and this message? We started to use the Windows Internet Explorer and there seems to be no problems. The cookies now seem to be okay too. Should we be concerned or just continue using Internet Explorer? Did a hacker or virus attack our computer? Is there a problem with the computer? Everything else with the computer seems fine, except this problem. So, is this a problem I should be concerned about? Thank you!

I found it. It is sitting in System32 and I cannot get rid of it. My wife accidentally downloaded because she thought it was picture or something. She was chatting with someone when it happened.

I did a Google search and it listed that executable (icpldrvx) and a spyware/malware. Sound like you might have a hijacked browser.

i stopped using my sbc yahoo browser 10 months ago because of problems with it.you can call the toll free tech # and see if they can walk you through a fix but you will have a hard time understanding them unless you speak a foreign language, and they never did fix mine. so now i go back & forth between firefox & IE.its not you pc or spyware just a junk broswer
