mine personally would have to be Crowded House who were/still are one of if not one of the best bands Australia/New Zealand have ever had, for those who dont know these guys formed up in Melbourne back in the early 80's and ran until they're farewell tour which concluded in Sydney, 1996 on the steps of the Opera House.
Songs from these guys included Private Universe, Distant Sun, I Feel Posessed, Mean to Me and my personal favorite Dont Dream its Over which talks about something ending but where you dont want to think thats its gonna end.....
