What makes you think that you've seen a ghost?

I have sensed the presence of ghosts several times. It is just a specific feeling you get. Ghosts (spirits) are well accepted in Thailand. Most every home, hotel, business, farm and major street intersection has a place for ghosts to reside.

My most recent occasion experiencing a ghost was upon moving into our new house. I kept feeling the presence of a little girl in the house. It was very chilling and odd.

A week later I learned that the neighbor across the street decided to not move into their new house since their newborn daughter died from SIDS. They relocated to another state to deal with the grief. The next time I felt the child's presence I informed her of where her parents had moved to. The ghost has not returned since.

Nothing. I never claimed to have seen something that plain doesn't exist. I think I saw something that looked like a ghost from this guy who was lactose intolerant. Loud, too! Just like in the monster pictures. But I don't think that qualifies and, again, I didn't see anything. Heard something though. Had to be real. Illusions are seen. Not heard.

Does "feeling" a ghost count? I was taking a shower and something felt like a boney hand cupped my shoulder. Startled, I wiped the soap from my face so I could open my eyes and see whatever it was - there was nothing there! I thought maybe a large insect had landed on my shoulder and washed off so I looked down at the drain and still there was nothing. The incident was very creepy!

ghosts will appear mostly as shadows. some will appear as cold spots or mists. i've always been considered a bit of a freak b/c i can usually tell if a place is haunted. thing is that most people can, they just don't pay attention to it. there's a difference. places that are haunted seem to have a feeling of life to them. i know i've seen ghosts b/c they appear to me either as shadows, as apparitions, as manifested action, or as visions. it all depends on the person who is experiencing it (and the ghost's preferrence i suppose) have fun! I used to live in a house which is close to cemetery. There's a woman ghost in that house, and she always gave me very sad dream. In my dreams, she said she was killed by her husband, and she was always sad. I guess there were other spirits in that house too. One night, I dreamed that I was in the middle of the cemetery, and the lights were brightly lit in that cementery, I saw the weird creatures living at the top of the trees, then I woke up, and I was scared to death. When I lived in that haunted house, I always said the Buddhist prayers almost everyday to shield against the nightmares or the bad dreams. Amazingly my prayers really worked.

When you see someone dead, you'll know. And there's no way of mistaking a thing completely made of shadow while your room is completely lit up and it's sitting on your bed. It has no definition at all and only a vaguely human shape. And it turns to look at you when you walk in.

When you see a ghost, you'll know it's real. Because there's nothing else on earth like them.

I work in a building that has only one exit from the parking lot to the street. I park next to the street. Its a warehouse district that has several auto shops and storage areas so you do see a lot of vintage vehicles. One night after working late I walked past this couple in vintage retro fifties clothing. they were leaning against a studebaker and just chatting. As i get to my car I look back and the parking lot is empty. They and their car had just vanished.

I dont believe in ghosts but........
I was playing near some bushes when i was little and all of a sudden the bushes started to shake and i saw a human figure(shadow) jump up and i started running like hell.
Now, i just think it might of been one of my cousins playing a prank. They all deny doing it.
