Yes, I have seen the aftermath. New Orleans will never be the same. I lived in Plaquemines Parish, LA when Katrina rolled in and worked down in the French Quarter. I lost my home and everything in it. The destruction was horrific and devastating but I still have my life and my children. That is the important part.

A family member went down there on business last month. Said it was unbelievable how much of New Orleans is still in terrible shape. Is it me or does it just seem wrong that they spent so much money fixing up the Saints' football stadium? Couldn't that money have been put to better use building new homes?
