Good acting is when you are being, when you can deceive the audience to the point that they don't doubt for a second you're who you say you are, when it looks as though this hasn't been rehearsed before---this is really happening!
Good acting is when you are so natural that people can connect with you, when you know your character better than you know yourself.

I think good acting is being instead of acting. You are BEING the character instead of acting as the character.

I think good acting is when people can`t tell that you are acting. When you want them to cry and they cry, you want them to laugh and they laugh, and when you want them to gasp and they gasp, that`s good acting. It like a book; you`re drawn in, forgetting that it`s not really happening.

From the audience's point of view, it is when the scene on stage is so real that they feel like shadows in the scene rather than apart from it. The suspension of disbelief becomes effortless.

"Good acting" is when you find the character inside yourself and you ARE that character.
