should i take a medicine the rids of my acne but the drawback is that i cant have kids because it will have genetic problems do to the medicine.it is a really hard decision so i would like to hear suggestions from other people.how does it feel to not have kids?is it good?

the acne is a genetic thing for me.i tried a lot of things for it but it doesnt work

i have never heard of such a thing. are you sure its not just you cant have healthy children while on the medication but once you stop the medication you would be able to have halthy children? i would stay away from anything that would cause permanent genetic defects cause it would have huge negative impact on your health as well. maybe try finding a different medication for acne like benzinoal peroxide that is sold over the counter and applied topically.

I took accutane in high school, and moved onto Proactive Solution once my face cleared up. I haven't had a problem with acne since. I also have a 13month old son. I had the perfect pregnancy, no morning sickness, no breast tenderness, only back problems due to preexisting injuries. My son was born weighing over 9lbs, and perfectly healthy. He is still perfectly healthy. So I say use it, and when you decide you're ready to have kids, stop the medication for about a month before trying to concieve. This way you know that all of the medicine will be out of your system. Good luck!

is the drawback that you won't have kids only apply if you take it during pregnancy? cuz if that was the case, then you could stop the medication before you decided to have kids. i have an 8 month old son, and i can't imagine life without him anymore. i think it would be a really lonely life to not have kids. that means no future graduations or weddings or grandkids. think about this. having no acne, or having a family. which is more important?

Thats a pretty steep decision to make because of zits.
I would say no don't do it but it is ultimately your choice.
I am 25 in a 5 year relatioship with no children, and due to my partner, will not be able to have any...it isn't always great but I supplement the instincts with 1 dog, 4 cats, and being the best aunt to my nephew and friends kids

I woudn't take it, there are some other treatments that can help you get rid of acne, but I don't think that's a good one, well it might be good for some time, but I'm almost sure that if u take it you'll be sorry when you're older. Unless you don't like kids and don't want any

u don't know how u are gonna feel about having kids later on in life so i wouldn't try it until i was sure i did not want anymore.
there is a new product on the market now and i use it myself and its great. its called ACNE FREE from neutrogena. its 3 stages and u can get a fast acting terminator in the same section that works fast fast fast. u can also get some for scars. i use all of the product and my face stays clear

You shouldn't conceive while you are on the acne med. Once you're off it you can have kids...it's not like it's permanent :) And you probably shouldn't be on it for a really long time. I personally would opt for a topical acne treatment, because you won't have any drug interactions to worry about.

How bad is ur acne? U can still have kids, u just cant do it while u r taking the medication. The medication causes birth defects if u take it while u r pregnant.

I dont know where youre getting your info, but there is no med that will KEEP you from having a baby. There are meds that you shouldnt take, without taking birth control. There is an acne med, called Accutane, that if you dont take precautions while taking it, it will cause birth defects. Just dont try to get pregnant till youre done with the meds.

You must be speaking about Accutane.
My daughter took it, yes, there is a time period you MUST NOT
GET PREGNANT. The doctor also, will tell you when you can get have a baby, AFTER the treatment is done.
She has two beautiful children and no ache and no scars!
Please talk further to the doctor about this! You really need to understand the entire story of the medicine.
