I know not many places in the US focus on these types of burials. Does anyone know why? It seems so much better, than slowly rotting away in a sealed up casket with a bunch of garbage pumped into your body. I know of one in Mill Valley, CA, does anyone know where else they have them?

sorry... it's when your body is wrapped in a shroud or plain pine box, (usually naked) and placed in the ground. No embalming fluid or any other things like that are used. Your body is "all natural". Usually, I think, there are no gravestones, but rocks or some other natural item to mark the grave. Family members can plant trees, flowers, etc. I'm not a hippie or anything like that, but I do love the idea, my family already knows that's what I want... and I'm only 31! But life is unpredictable and anything can happen at any time.

its an interesting idea. i want to be cremated because im claustrophobic, but as far as burial goes, it does sound better than being pumped full of chemicals and sealed up like tupperware for eternity.

Well, I kinda like the idea. Although to tell you the truth I'd kinda like a fuse. Stay naked, stay in the pine box, but no embalming fluid. And maybe get a tombstone for old time's sake.

Still, it does sound like a cool idea :)
