Neither can I and the spell check on this site is not very good. The worst langwidge in the world i think is english to spell. I am 59 and I had my work at school constantly rejected because i could not spell. My sister became an Accountent, I am not Jelouse but envious because I am now happy with my life and spelling does not worry me. With the help of microsoft word spellcheck I could have spelt this answer better. Why should I have to use a spell check is it not time someone changed the spelling of the English Langwige?

Become a cheerleader! My daughter has trouble with spelling & was mortified when she joined cheerleading & discovered that she had to spell so many things out! She's having fun however!

Yes, loads of people. That faceless entity called spell-check, the dictionary, more importantly yourself by checking out the words you can't spell (by spell-check, friends or dictionary). The main person who will help is yourself by acknowledging your difficulties and finding the right answer. I was told "if you can't spell it don't write it - choose another word" and I've applied this - but you are better than this and are keener to learn!

I blame the schools.
Seriously, there are rules to follow- you don't have to learn words one by one. Of course, there are exceptions, but it's easier to learn the rules, then the exceptions.
But don't worry, you're not alone- 90% of the people on this site can't spell either.

try using the saying
i before e except after c.
or break the word up into smaller parts and spell it that way, or use a dictionary

first open a book you like read it all, and highlight the words you can't read, when you finish reading the book,

go back to the words you highlighted that you couldnt read, now practice reading them , by also wrting them again , and again once you have got it right , you know it , even ask someone to test you, then go on too the next words, this will also improve your reading making you a better reader and very good at spealling .

I know what you mean, if you cannot spell it , you will not be able to find it in the Dictionary either.
