its okay if its basic make up, y'know, the kind that doesnt touch your skin(the skin on your lip doesnt count in this case.), lipliner, lip gloss, lipstick, mascara. As long as it wasnt aplied fresh right before to go to bed.Bt dont do this every night. Give it a breakafter every 2 or 3 days. But if you use stuff on your skin like, foundation, concealer, blush, eyeliner, eyeshadow etc. than it will damage your skin.
It might not show damage right away, but it will clog pores and make you age faster.

Yes it is okay to sleep with your make-up on, but I would take off the mascara the best you can before you go to sleep because it can get into your eye and become irritated.

Yes! It's bad because it's not healthy. Your eyelash folicles need to breathe, and mascara is basically wax and petroleum product. Sure, wear it by day, but take off your make up before you go to bed. If you're sleeping with someone and you want to look pretty when you wake up, unless you sleep on your back all night your make up is going to be all smudged when you wake up anyway. Plus, think of your pillow cases! Yuck!

If you really want to wake up with pretty, dark lashes, go to a beautician and have your eyelashes tinted. You'll need to maintain it - about every four to six weeks (new hair grows in, old hair falls out) but it's pretty and easy. I don't do it anymore because I've gotten so much beauty sleep over the years I wake up pretty even with my blonde lashes!

But don't go to sleep with make up on. It won't kill you once in a while, but it's not good for you.

My mother is a make-up artist so I get hounded everytime I go to bed with my make-up on. Ok, first off. When you sleep with foundation and/or powder on, it clogs your pores. You may get blackheads, whiteheads, or pimples. Your complextion won't be as pretty and you may get little bumps on your skin. If you sleep with any kind of lip gloss or lipsick on it may smear on the area around your mouth and can cause little pimples around your mouth. When you sleed with eyeliner on it can smear and get in your eyes; the bacteria can give you an eye infection. When you sleep with mascara on it makes your eyelashes weak and brittle. They can break off from the root and your can get an eyelash sty. Those hurt soo bad. Also in the morning when you get up to put more make-up on mascara is hard to get off and they get clumpy if you attempt to put more on over the first layer.

You break out and regret it later. Sometimes I forget to take mine off before I go to sleep (I take showers in the morning) and I have 3 pimples when I wake up. Not fun.

well, its bad if you dont want to wake up looking like you just came back from the dead. mascara will most likely run or smudge and eyeshadow will like sort of streak. lip stuf isnt that big a deal umless you dont want it on your pillow or your bedspread.
