People call Saddam a "psychotic radical". What on earth do they know more about Saddam Hussein than I or anyone else. Murderer maybe, but psychotic...?
Extremists would like to believe people like me think that Saddam is innocent. Who ever said that?
But the whole trial & case is a mockery.
America & Israel have been using phosphar munitions, which has killed mostly civilians in the last 3yrs, and which is a chemical agent which incinerates it's victims.
What did those people in Iraq do to you, to deserve that. Anyone who argues that civilians are a casualty of war are racists. They wouldn't be saying the same if it were US or British lives at stake.
How on earth can you try someone for warcrimes when you're doing the exact same thing.
In anycase, he was the leader of a country supported by us, created by us Brits, and his life was threatened. What would the govt do in the US if an attempt was made on George Bush? The accused wouldn't make it to jail that's for sure

I presume that you meant US rather than UK.
I wish I could argue with you but on this occasion Britain went to war without just cause and the Iraqi bogey man must therefor punished while the real enemy of this country still sits in Downing Street at our expense.
If the US believed that they had a genuine case, Saddam would have been tried by the International Court instead of by patsies in occupied Iraq.

Nobody gains anything. While Saddam is probably a horrible person who has done horrible things, he's no worse or better than any of the other dictators out there, like the little crazy guy over in North Korea. Of course the trial has been a mockery, because everyone knew they were going to execute him anyways.

There is some truth in what you say. However, Saddam is being tried by the Iraq government not by the British and I doubt what the Brits say would have any sway on the matter. The fact is he was a rather nasty dictator who murdered his own people so why should you or anyone, other that his own tribe be against his trial. He deserves all he gets.

I agree with you here - what Bush is doing is terrible. But that's my own personal opinion.

I still do not understand why the captured Saddam, as they were looking for Bin Laden previously, and just lost their interest in him. However, this has turned into a failing on the governments part, as Bin Laden is still at large and has become a bigger threat to our lives than ever.

Firstly white phosphorus is mainly a tracing agent for making adjustments to artillery fire, and is rarely used otherwise unless it can be dropped on a bunker to burn out entrenched enemies. Saddam used chemical weapons designed specifically to kill as many people as possible.
Secondly you are looking for the word nationalist rather than racist, as the arabs are caucasian. Nationalism is a good thing to have.

it would be one of the most significant things done in our lifetime. keep in mind the game being played by the leaders of these countries. none of them are poor and they cannot relate to the common man, most really have nothing to lose, so they can play with others lives like a chess game. no one really knows the truth, the only way to become a leader is to lie and manipulate and have alot of money. if they kill him, he probably deserves it, but so do alot of others. we, as common people, will never know what is really going on. what is sad is that 1 person can lead millions, right or wrong.

I don't know that Britain and America will gain anything.

But as far as I can see he's being hung by an Iraqi judge uinder Iraqi law. So whats that got to do with Britain or America?

Its not as though Bush or Blair has personally ordered his hanging, People need to remember this.

With your inability to distinguish between a nation at war and a Savage Dictator, killing his own people because they have a different political ideology then it is only because you do not want to admit our President is doing a great job. Come to think of it he might have been on to something when you look at the Democrats Ideology.
