The actual Classical Period in music was from about 1700 - 1825.
Sources vary, because the classical period overlapped with the Baroque Period a little.

Towards the end of the Classical Period however, Beethoven started composing music that sounds more Romantic. He actually was the composer that sort of drove into the Romantic era. Sorry, a little more info than you actually wanted, but I couldn't resist that tidbit of info. lol.
