Getting married to me means you're ready to make a life long commitment to the one you love, and that your ready to wear the ring that signals you are taken through sickness and in health no matter what and so that other people will know that your taken!.

I got married two years ago, and I feel that marriage is 'cement'.
It cements the two of you together more. If things get tough, you'd try harder to make it work if you were married, simply because there's more at stake (legal issues, the legacy/memory of a big occasion that the whole family attended, etc.).
On one level it doesn't change things much, but deep down I still feel different to before we were married. It's definitely a good thing if it's to the right person!

Till death do us part. Unless I mistakenly and propbably stupidly marry the spawn of Satan, even then I think I'll try. Its a big commitment and a great institution when it works. I'm not even religious but I think a good marriage helps to have a happier life, and mariage has always been an important thing during my upbringing.

Marriage means you're sharing your life with someone else. When you get married, its technically saying that you'll take care of someone else during the good and the bad times of your relationship. In a business sense, its saying that you have equal footing and that you have to share your assets with the other person. For the purely emotional aspect, it means that you've decided to spend the rest of your life with one person and one person only and have promised to love and respect them while holding them above all others.

Good question - i think nowadays alot of people just think it means nothing, just a piece of paper with two peoples names on it, call me old fashioned but i think its to be taken seriously and it means alot, people shouldnt do it for the sake of it, they are vows to be with the person who you really love, till death do us part for better or worse, to honour, forget the obey bit lol i think thats ridiculous every relationship has problems even when you get married you can't expect someone to do as i say thats more like slavery. 2 in 10 marridges end in divorce these day, something to think about eh!!?

When I got married it meant to be with my best friend forever. Now after 13 years its more like to not have sex anymore and to have everything you do criticized.
