JOHN 16... are you dyslexic ?
You said, "Liberals always say he is a "bad guy" --- then defend him."
In my language, english, he wasn't defending him... he was saying it's not about him.
I am a Liberal... and I have never defended him nor have I heard any liberal defend him either...
Do you stay up all night making this bush-it up ?
What scares me isn't that you vote... it's that you breed !!!
Now that's a crime against humanity !

It's been known for a while that the verdict would be announced on November 5th. I think most people will agree that the verdict is a forgone conclusion along with a probable death sentence. The unknown is the reaction in Iraq if he is given the death penalty. If violence increases dramatically because of it two days before the US election, I don't see how that can help the republicans. If I were them and I was trying to influence the date of the verdict I think I would wait until after the election.

Regardless of what American political party you favor, it would be nice if the sentencing were not set for two days before our elections. You know there will be reprisals in Iraq and possibly elsewhere, and it may affect an electoral process that is already pretty high-strung. (Sorry Saddam, didn't mean to mention "high-strung" considering the standard procedure for execution in Iraq).
My intelligence doesn't feel insulted at all. I'm just glad that the judiciary process in Iraq is finally going forward. Saddam and his followers have tried everything in the book to prevent it.

I'm sure you already know that intelligence is a bit of a psychological liability in today's world, Gallows Humor. Use it to fill out the crossword puzzles at the back of the newspaper. Turn it off when you read the front of it. It won't hurt so much that way.
Hey, but cheer up and enjoy those low gas prices while they last, eh? :)

Yes, I feel it is insulting to have issues like this always seem to come up just in time to distract people from the real issues just before elections and I don't think it's a coincidence.. The republican party has no morals and no boundaries, it is a huge world wide propaganda machine.

Saddams crimes (aided by the USA at the time) may well distract some Americans from worrying about their pensions, health care, education, and the 2800 dead soldiers.
The timing is so obvious, it is insulting.

It's just another "convenient coincidence". Which has been the basis of every facet of the criminal cabal currently hijacking this country.
