I don't think all of them do, and I think it depends on
how long it's been. I've tried to do things I used to do awhile back, and felt like a friggin idiot, because I couldn't seem to remember anything. Other things just pop right back into place. It's weird actually, isn't it?

Depends on the skill and if the person has any dementia. Some of my elderly clients have forgotten how to knit or play the piano. I learned how to macrame about 30 years ago as a craft at Bible School but haven't done any since...however, I thought about it the other day and I'm sure I could still figure it out. Now you've got me wanting to give it a try....so, while you're out shopping will you pick me up some macrame yarn?

After not wearing contacts for 20 years, I put them right in 3 days ago, just like I never quit.

I don't think you can loose a skill. It just goes into hibernation for a while. ;) Have fun shopping... for... whatever it is you shop for.
