There are 60 seconds in a minute, 60 minutes in an hour, 24 hours in a day, and 365 days in a year (by the calendar). Just multiply those numbers together to get 60*60*24*365 = 31,536,000. If you're a fan of Rent, you can cheat and just do 60*525,600 for the same result.

You can do it the mathematical way but it is not that acurate. it would only be an estimate the actual accurate number of seconds in a year is
1 year = 31 556 926 seconds
Much more acurate

My calculator has twice given the answer 31536000, so if yours gives the same consider it triple checked. Make sure it's not a trick question where you're being asked about a leap year, or some astronomical year I don't know about.
