I've got an old car with a rusting undercarriage. Just noticed 1/4 of the tank leaked out over the past day or so. Is Canadian Tire reasonable? Should I just crawl under and stick some duct tape there?

If you're handy, remove the tank & repair it yourself. Or get someone to do it for you. I bought a tank sealer Kit from KBS Coatings and was extremely pleased. It's a reputable company, I think they sell all over the US even Canada. Call for a place of sale.

It is NOT suggested to duct tape anything. Gas will eat right through it. Epoxy gas tank repair will work if you have a hole but not if the seams or gaskets are leaking. If money is a problem and the tank only leaks when over 1/2 full, don't fill past 1/2. If it leaks all the time, sorry, replace the tank.

Just do what I did when my tank started leaking, it fixed the problem permanently for me and I have had no more trouble with it. I just took it to a shop and had a brand new gas tank installed. It only cost $987.00 Parts and labor it was the best investment I ever made!!!

Nobody would because your widow would probably sue them when you died in the fire. If the tank leaks in one spot, it will leak in others. It needs to be replaced, not fixed. Repair jobs on gas tanks are meant for punctures. Not old corroded tanks.
